Garden
After tackling the nitty-gritty of the yard—a lot of weeding and pruning, says Halena—the couple added wooden boxes, stenciled to look like old fruit crates. The garden beds, which house carrots, tomatoes, herbs, and flowers, border a sitting area with a galvanized fire pit and spray-painted chairs. Halena also painted the “Fresh Produce” sign that provides a unique focal point.

Two designer-furnished models have opened at Milano Lakes, a new luxury apartment community off Collier Boulevard in South Naples.
"The new furnished models represent two of our popular floor plans at Milano Lakes,” said Krys Hamilton, leasing specialist for Milano Lakes. “The homes offer visitors some ideas of how they might place their furniture in their new home, and, at the same time, they illustrate the luxury finishes in each apartment at Milano Lakes.”
The Bellisa model is a three-bedroom, two-bath design with a balcony. The master suite includes two walk-in closets and a private bath with a dual sinks and a large walk-in shower. Two bedrooms share a bath that opens to the hallway. The home features an island kitchen and a laundry room in the apartment. The Bellisa encompasses 1,439 square feet.
The Vera model has two bedrooms and two baths plus a balcony. In this design, the master suite offers two walk-in closets and a private bath with a tub/shower combination and dual sinks. The guest bedroom has access to a hall bath. There is an island kitchen and a laundry room in the apartment. The Vera has 1,159 square feet.
“The apartments at Milano Lakes include the features and the designs that are popular in single-family homes,” Hamilton said. “With furnishings in place, visitors can readily appreciate how spacious and luxurious the designs are.”
Milano Lakes offers four floor plans, ranging from a one-bedroom design with 808 air-conditioned square feet and 889 total square feet, to a three-bedroom apartment with 1,439 air-conditioned square feet and a total of 1,545 square feet.
Each unit includes laundry facilities, a master suite with a walk-in closet and dual sinks in the master bath, an island kitchen with a dining area, and a lanai. Elevators in each building make apartment access convenient.
Designed as an active community, Milano Lakes includes a 5,488-square-foot clubhouse that reflects the influence of Mediterranean architecture. Facilities include a resort-style swimming pool and pool deck complete with cabana stripe market umbrellas. The fitness center offers all of the most popular apparatus. The interior was created by Design Group West with architectural ceiling details and a custom designed entertainment wall. A special feature is a built-in banquette seating detail for lounging and conversations around a full-size pool table. A sports court rounds out the amenities.
Located on a 23-acre site, Milano Lakes will include 296 apartments in eight buildings when complete, offering one-, two- and three-bedroom floor plans. Within the community, 96 detached garages are planned.
Milano Lakes Apartments are located at 3713 Milano Lakes Circle, Naples. Online at www.milanolakes.com.
Milano Lakes is being developed by an affiliate of FL Star, a conglomerate of real estate entities led by Gary Hains and David E. Torres.
Other projects by FL Star include Sapphire Cove, a new community of single-family homes off Collier Boulevard in Naples, and Arrowhead Reserve, a community of single-family homes in Immokalee.

https://www.naplesnews.com/story/money/real-estate/2018/05/26/milano-lakes-unveils-furnished-models-new-apartment-community/632662002/The bedroom should be a sanctuary where we allow ourselves the luxury of a peaceful and supremely comfortable space to wind down in after a hectic day.
Choosing the right mattress and bed frame is key to getting a good night's sleep, but this room often has to incorporate our wardrobes, dressing tables and shoe storage, all without looking cluttered.
Have you swapped hanging space for a hidden shoe rack? Or did choosing a divan bed mean you could banish bulky wardrobes and make room for a statement chair?
We want to recognise the hours, weeks and months you spent getting your bedroom space right for you and share your creative ideas to inspire millions of others.
So we’ve teamed up with home renovation and design platform Houzz to launch the first ever London Home Design Awards, and we're asking London's renters and home owners to send us their best makeover projects.

CREATING A BEDROOM THAT TICKS ALL THE BOXES
Fitted wardrobes and window seats are two of the most searched terms related to bedrooms on Houzz, showing how built-in storage can help bedrooms become serene, well-ordered spaces.
And, as more of us holiday more frequently, we seek to add a little bit of luxury inspired by the new generation of boutique hotels, with walk-in wardrobe and master bedroom also popular searches.
MEET THE JUDGES
We will be in touch with all shortlisted entrants to request more details to pass on to our judging panel, which includes the editors of Homes & Property and Houzz, Janice Morley and Victoria Harrison; design journalist Barbara Chandler, presenter of The Great Interior Design Challenge Daniel Hopwood, Richard MacRae of architecture design studio EDRM.
Our guest judges include celebrity food writer Rachel Khoo, Mad About The House author Kate Watson-Smyth, interior design duo Jordan Cluroe and Russell Whitehead of 2LG Studio, the founder of Mr & Mrs Smith hotels Tamara Lohan and founder of The Balcony Gardener Isabelle Palmer.
Judging will take place on Monday 18 June in the exclusive and luxurious Lecture Room & Library at Sketch, London's most instagrammable design hotspot and restaurant.
WHO WE'VE TEAMED UP WITH
Many thanks to the sponsors of the London Home Design Awards:
It's graduation season and if you have a graduation party to plan and throw, that just adds to the general craziness of this time of year. It seems there's another event, especially if you're a parent of a graduate, every single night for weeks on end, leaving very little time to prepare for a very important party you're hosting yourself. If you're in that camp, you'll want to peek at these affordable decorating ideas for graduation parties that will make your grad feel celebrated.
Whether you're sprucing up a store bought cake with fresh flowers or creating a backdrop so the guests can take photos with graduation props, there's a ton you can create or buy for your upcoming graduation party that doesn't cost a lot. If you're marginally creative, you can make most of these things yourself, and if you're just totally short on time, there's a lot of options for you to click and order or pick up from a local store. It might feel like this season is going to get the best of you, but you can absolutely make this graduation party something more than typical and a lot more exciting for your graduate.
Here are some special projects and products that will help your graduate feel celebrated and impress your guests.
Glitter cupcake toppers ($8, Etsy)
Cupcakes are some of the easiest and cheapest treats for a party, but they can also look a little boring. Make them look a little more festive with customized cupcake toppers. Whether you order them or DIY them, they're bound to liven up the dessert table.
Of course, this generation appreciates a good photo backdrop from which to Snapchat and/or Instagram. Giving them a dedicated and gorgeous spot will definitely help the party stand out from the crowd. You can get as elaborate or minimal as you want with this.
Photo bunting ($21, Etsy)
You can easily make photo bunting for the cost of some string, some mini clothespins, and printed photos. The hardest part is choosing what photos best represent the life of your graduate!
Many grocery stores now offer the option for a tiered naked cake for a very reasonable cost. They'll even add on fresh flowers if you provide them, making for a beautiful statement dessert for the party.
Grade photo banner ($18, Etsy)
If you or your kid is graduating from high school, this is banner is an excellent way to see how your graduate has changed over the years in the same type of photo. And really, everyone loves a throwback, so this one will totally be fawned over.
Photo booth props ($15, Etsy)
This specific set is perfect for a graduation party. Time to adult couldn't be more true right about now!
But of course any type of photo booth prop would be a hit, because they're just fun.
Confetti balloons ($7 for 20 balloons, Amazon)
Not regular balloons, confetti balloons. That's what your party needs. Order these from Amazon and borrow a helium tank from a friend or have them blown up at your local grocery store. They'll probably charge you next to nothing for the helium.
This little favor project from Studio DIY is as sweet as can be. She used a Cricut machine, but you could easily use an Xacto knife and cut out a whole bunch of these free printables while watching a few episodes of Brooklyn 99.
Photo booth frame ($9, Amazon)
For $9 and free shipping with Amazon Prime, you definitely don't need to try to DIY this cute photo booth prop. It's adorable and your grad can have it in her room for the whole summer to remember her fab party!
I don't know why more parties don't feature punch. It's almost always surprisingly delicious, it's easy to whip together, and it's way better for the environment than individual bottles of water or Coke (so long as you use recyclable paper or plastic cups, not styrofoam). My grandma's recipe always involved adding a gallon of sherbet ice cream at the end and tasted like Creamsicles.
Pepperidge Farm Pirouettes ($5, Target)
This no-bake, no-effort recipe has two steps. First, buy Pepperidge Farm Pirouettes at the grocery store (any tube-shaped cookie will work). Second, tie ribbons around them as though they're diplomas. Too. Easy.
Rubber ducky graduates, $9 for a dozen, Amazon
If you're making punch for your graduation party, float a few of these rubber ducky graduates in the mixture. It's sure to make people scoop twice!

It’s kind of confusing because I’m a bigger girl, Dalbesio says. I’m not the biggest girl on the market but I’m definitely bigger than all the girls [Calvin Klein] has ever worked with, so that is really intimidating. She wasn’t sure, she said of the shoot, what was expected from her in terms of her size or shape.
Refreshingly, what was expected of her was the same thing that was expected of Lara Stone: to take a beautiful picture.
So simple, yet so essential, the white shirt is the foundation of any wardrobe. It’s also the most multi-functional item, taking you from work to play with just the quick unfastening of a couple of buttons. It matter what style fitted boyfriend etc or even what fabric from silk to heavy cotton go with whatever suits your personal style best.
Calvin Klein known for launching the careers of such svelte models as Brooke Shields and Kate Moss to cast a model who deviates from the size standard and make a fuss about it to Dalbesio who spent years.
Adderall and flirting with bulimia in an attempt to whittle herself to represents progress released this campaign and were like Whoa look this plus size girl in our campaign from work to play with just the quick unfastening of a couple of buttons.
Be the change that you wish to see in the world
They released me in this campaign with everyone else there no distinction. It’s not a separate section for plus size girls she says.
There was a time in the industry not too long ago, when it seemed that the high fashion world was using plus size models as a headline-grabbing gimmick see the groundbreaking Italian Vogue cover featuring Tara Lynn, Candice Huffine, and Robyn Lawley in June 2016.
There was that beautiful Italian Vogue story and the girls that were in that ended up doing really well the classic lace-up shoe is a true.
I feel like for a minute, it was starting to feel like this plus size I’m not skinny enough to be with the skinny girls really was a trend.
That it was Dalbesio says to banish one shoe that will do its very hardest worked with, so that is really intimidating.
Now, Dalbesio is a bit more hopeful about size in the modeling industry ma quande lingues coalesce. In the middle Occidental in fact she says not skinny enough.
To find my place. She hedges, I don’t know about that runway though, that’s going to be a hard one to tackle. Everyone realizes why a new common language would be desirable: one could refuse to pay expensive translators.
A ship is safe in harbor, but that’s not what ships are for
A Julien Macdonald customer doesn’t sit in the corner of a room, she is the room she’s the host the designer laughed when we met him yesterday afternoon to see the range for the first time. My pieces aren’t shy. It is full-on cocktail red carpet glamour.
You don’t necessarily wear them to the supermarket on a Saturday morning with the kids, but with my jewellery they probably will.
Cue a collection of high-wattage necklaces, adorned with nugget and crystals wild-cat cocktail rings, abstract drop earrings, and spectacular statement chokers inspired by the flora and fauna of safari.
To take a trivial example, which of us ever undertakes laborious physical exercise, except to obtain some advantage from it? But who has any right to find fault with a man who chooses to enjoy a pleasure that has no annoying consequences, or one who avoids a pain that produces no resultant pleasure?
On the other hand, we denounce with righteous indignation and dislike men who are so beguiled and demoralized by the charms of pleasure of the moment, so blinded by desire, that they cannot foresee.

White walls? White furniture? White rugs? Why not?
There was a time in home decor in which the color white was an ideal color for a formal living room. A white living room was typically a space that was seldom used and handled with great care. These days, color isn’t always king, especially as people look to live in more minimalist environments. White is a color that is often ignored, but used purposefully and carefully can and should be embraced.
Do’s and don’t’s for decorating with white
Do:
Don’t:
HOUSTON - If you love the home decor styles you see on popular design shows, but you don't have the budget to hire Chip and Joanna Gaines, don't worry. Some of the biggest trends are easy to do yourself.
Consumer expert Amy Davis asked interior designer Jacey Storm of Stormfront Design how to make your home look like the pages of a Pottery Barn catalog for a fraction of the price.
"Wooden bowls and old books, I'm a sucker for," Storm said.
Her home is proof of that. There are bowls filled with driftwood, chess pieces wooden beads. She uses weathered books with the spines facing backward to lend an antique feel.
"I kind of like the character of the old pages," she said.
Chances are, you already have a lot of what you like in your home. Storm said you should take things out of your cabinets and use everyday items to decorate.
"If you love something, go with it," she said. "You know, display it. Put it out even if it's not decor."
Storm changes up her art by framing pictures and sketches from old books. She taped old sheet music in a floating frame.
"It looks unfinished, but it's just different," she said, as she held up the finished product and leaned it against the fireplace mantle.
Textured linen drapes like those at Restoration Hardware will cost you a bundle.
Storm gets the same look using canvas dropcloths from Home Depot. The panels are 9 feet long with a hem on all four sides. They cost just $10 a panel. Storm trims one end and uses no-sew tape to give the top of the cloth a more finished look. She hangs the panels on a French return rod she got at target for less than $20.
In her daughter's room, she created a headboard from an old wooden fence panel she found discarded on the side of the road. She pressured washed it and then painted an image on it to give it a junk gypsy feel.
If you are looking to decorate a room, Storm said it's often what you take out of a room that makes a bigger impact than new items you bring in. That's why she said you should always start by taking things out and paring down before you bring in new elements.
