Joanna Gaines Designed This Bedroom for a Little Girl—But We Want It for Ourselves

On the series finale of Fixer Upper,Joanna Gaines designed a bedroom space for the homeowner's daughter, but thanks to its sophisticated elements, feminine touches, and retro vibes, we want to replicate the look in our very own, grownup space. Here's how to copy the look in your own home.

Bed

Joanna's goal was to design a space that's both fun and timeless, so this lucky little girl can still enjoy it for years to come. To do that, she blended textures with a rattan headboard and a woven rug, and mixed in some midcentury modern touches with the nightstand and chandelier.

And you can't miss the pretty custom mural (our favorite part!), which adds colors and warmth. "We had our friend and local artist, Emily Barton, paint the ombre wall and make an incredible macrame wall hanging," Joanna wrote on her blog. You can achieve the same ombre look with some paint or wallpaper.

Seating

This one-of-a-kind macrame wall hanging adds color and interest to the area opposite the custom ombre mural. You can buy a similar one on Etsy, or have your very own made via a custom order from the original creator, Emily Barton of Barton Craft and Design. We love the retro hanging chair, too.

Storage

A large, gray dresser provides plenty of space to corral clutter without overwhelming the airy room, while a photo line (similar to a clothesline) provides a cute way to display sweet memories.
