Carrwood Primary School pupil's unicorn themed bedroom becomes a reality

A BUDDING designer from a Bradford primary school saw her dream come true when her unicorn themed bedroom design was brought to life by a housing developer.

Tyler White saw her bedroom design chosen from 30 submitted by pupils at Carrwood Primary School in Holmewood as part of a contest by Gleeson Homes, which is behind nearby Carrwood Park housing development.

Interior designers have spent the past few months recreating the design, which included bright pinks and plenty of unicorn themed decorations.

Tyler, in Year 5, was joined by her family, representatives from the school and civic dignitaries at the opening of the show homes on Friday.

Nicky Kilvington, Executive Head at Carrwood Primary, said: “We were really pleased when Gleeson approached us with the competition idea. Tyler’s bedroom design is amazing.”

Kay Lightfoot, Sales Manager for Gleeson Homes, said: “Tyler did an amazing job with her design, I am sure everyone will be overwhelmed by it.”

It is expected primary school age children from the housing development will attend the school. When finished, Carrwood Park will be a development of 270 two, three and four bedroom homes.
