Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s 2017, Registration at 5 p.m.; Ceremony and Walk at 5:30 p.m. Nov. 3, Lowndes County Courthouse. UPCOMING 

Veterans Day Ceremony, 10 a.m. Nov. 10, Basemore-Hyder Stadium Hosted by the American Legion Post 13, 1301 Williams St.Guest speakers from the community and Moody AFB. Aux Unit 13 will be at main gate taking donations for Poppies. Citizens and Veterans in the Valdosta area are invited to attend and Veterans may sit in the bleachers or in the chairs on the field. Veterans are the Dignitary’s on this day. Post 13 invites all Legionaries and Veterans to come to the Post Home, after the Ceremony, to participate in the Marine Corps birthday. Post 13 will provide a BBQ lunch until the food pans are empty.
