Santa to visit Ol' MacDonald's Farm

Santa's Social, a holiday event that will feature a variety of activities for children, will kick off Saturday, Dec. 9, at Ol' MacDonald's Farm in Savannah, Missouri.

The event is set to begin at 10 a.m. at the venue, located at 15603 County Road 344 in Savannah. The program resumes at the same time Sunday, Dec. 10; Saturday, Dec. 16; Sunday, Dec. 17; and Saturday, Dec. 23.

Those attending will be able to participate in bracelet making, train rides, and writing a letter to Santa Claus. They also will have the chance to make reindeer food, build a snowman and make Christmas tree ornaments.

Micro mini horses Bella and Dusty also will appear during the program. There also will be a sing-along hayride. 

Children will be able to meet Santa and enjoy treats such as hot cocoa and cookies, along with a visit to Mrs. Claus' baked goods shop. They're encouraged to bring along their pajamas for the North Pole Express.

Reservations are recommended but not required. Those attending are asked to bring a blanket.

Christmas craft show set for Chillicothe

The Grand River Area Family YMCA will hold a Christmas Craft and Vendor Expo from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 9, at the facility, 1725 Locust St., Chillicothe, Missouri.

The event will feature an assortment of Christmas gift and decorating ideas.

Holiday concert planned for Cameron church

The Fountain City Brass Band and the Cameron Municipal Band will perform at 'Tis The Season, a concert set for 3 to 5 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 10, at the Cameron United Methodist Church, 201 N. Pine St., Cameron.

The world-renowned Fountain City Brass Band will be making its Cameron debut, sharing the spotlight at the free holiday concert with the Cameron Municipal Band.

The performance is sponsored by the Cameron Municipal Band Concert Series.
