Cookie Walk to raise funds for Humane Society
PORT CLINTON - The Humane Society of Ottawa County is holding its annual Cookie Walk on Saturday, from 8 to 11 a.m. at Peace Lutheran Church, 900 Jefferson St., Port Clinton.
An assortment of cookies, cookie bars, candies and other homemade goods will be available. Fill a container that we provide with your favorite choice of baked goods and pay by the weight of the items purchased. The cost is $5 per pound.
All proceeds benefit the Humane Society of Ottawa County. For questions, contact the humane society at 419-734-5191.
Breakfast with Santa to benefit Holiday Bureau
OAK HARBOR - The Oak Harbor Knights of Columbus will be sponsoring a Breakfast with Santa on Sunday beginning at 9:30 a.m. at St. Boniface Catholic Church, 215 Church St.
The menu will include: eggs and ham, sausage, homemade rolls, homemade applesauce, coffee, hot chocolate and juice. The cost is a donation of $6 for adults, $4 for children under age 12, and children under 5 are free. All proceeds will benefit the Ottawa County Holiday Bureau.
Santa Claus plans to be there with treats for the children. The St. Boniface Support Group will be conducting a Christmas basket silent auction during the breakfast.
Ladies Luncheon to feature holiday decorating ideas
FREMONT - The Fremont Area Women’s Connection is hosting a Ladies Luncheon at Anjulina’s Catering, 2270 W. Hayes Avenue, on Tuesday from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.
Charlotte Urban, of Otto and Urban Greenhouse and Florist Shop in Fremont and Port Clinton, will be giving holiday decorating ideas.
The luncheon’s speaker will be Jackie Drake, of Shreve, Ohio. Drake, a book lover, will be sharing her story of adventure, mystery and a love story.

FREMONT - The next monthly meeting of the Sandusky Metropolitan Housing
